It all began one fateful day in the summer of 2017. We were minding our own business when an advertisement assaulted us on Facebook. “YES!,” they said, “You too can sell on Amazon. Come listen to our sales spiel! If you show up, we’ll even give you a computer to get started! It’s free, sort of.” Like Bilbo, traipsing after the dwarves, off we went on our very own adventure. But we don’t like adventures, we like comfort. And the precious, we loves the precious. And Francis. Never forget the Francis. Nevertheless, adventures we’ve had and continue to have. We began our adventures by seeking out what the people desired, cool stuff that would make their comfortable lives more comfortable. Then came the dangerous part, finding manufacturers willing to talk to little peoples. But most manufacturers don’t want to work with small people. Only big people. So we slew some small dragons and sold some cool stuff that made people more comfortable.
Then one day, we realized our Ohana is a creative Ohana. We make cool stuff. We have a painter, a sculptor, a jeweler, a leatherworker, a coppersmith, a blacksmith, a woodworker, and varied interests from abstract art to pottery. We have cool ideas. Our humor can be very pointed and lead to even more adventures (especially when we’re hangin’ at the pirate bar, matey). We have interests that have limited life on Amazon. We needed an outlet for our coolness. So we started our own ecommerce store and linked it in to Amazon, Etsy, and Ebay. We contracted with manufacturers in America and China for the things we couldn’t make ourselves. And we put it online. Just so our coolness collective could mingle with your coolness collective.
Now we get to have even more adventures as we ask ourselves, “What is entrepreneurship?” “Entrepreneurial skills? We don’t need no stinking entrepreneurial skills.” “So, how do you leverage social media?” “Do misanthropes have social media?” “Why do monkeys fly upside down?” “Is that a squirrel in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?” And other important life questions.
Come visit our Ohana often at www.rnkohanasales.com, on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Etsy, Ebay, and Amazon to see what coolness we’ve added since your last visit. Read our blog to find out what we’re learning and are up to. Tune in next week to find out what happened to Francis and if he escaped from his arch-frenemy, the Emperor.
Yo-Ho-Ho, where’s my rum?
